Information about me:
With regards to teaching, this is my 20th year in this profession. I have my bachelor's degree from UW Whitewater in Special Education and my master's degree from UW Madison in Reading. I have been in McFarland for 16 years and taught in Janesville for three years before coming here. Teaching in McFarland has been my favorite job. I am lucky enough to live in the community too. I have been married for 17 years now to my husband Shawn. Many of you may know him as he is the president of the Youth Center Board of Directors. We have two girls. Cassidy just turned 13, and Erin is 11. In my family I am the "baby" having an older brother & sister. I am originally from a suburb of Milwaukee, Wauwatosa. My parents now live on Little Muskego Lake in Muskego, a suburb south of Milwaukee.
The activities I enjoy are vast, but I will share some of my favorites. First and foremost I love being with my family and friends. Some of my other much loved activities include swimming, SUPping, boating, dancing, reading, crafting, and traveling. It is wonderful to be able to experience different cultures.
Some other interesting facts about me:
- I taught in Australia & China
- I have attended four UW schools.
- I collect pigs, Minions, & Olafs
- I have bungee jumped 340 feet.
